Volunteer Opportunities
Fundraising and Special Projects
Responsibilities include helping with administrative tasks, researching potential donors, conducting outreach to local community, and updating email lists.
Publicity
If you’re a pro with social media, campaign strategies, and working with content creators – we want to work with you! This role is all about interpersonal and communicative skills and requires an analytical thinker with an audience-first mindset.
Support Group Leaders
Looking for volunteers with interest and experience in leading or assisting support groups for social workers and abuse survivors.
Community Education
Volunteers will help organize community outreach events and identify new community partnerships with the office administration and management teams.
Youth Education
Looking for volunteers for our teen mentorship programs and child abuse awerness prevention programs to assist in coordinating these events with the office administration team.
Individuals who Love to Sew and Make Crafts
Our handcrafted items are donated to military families, soldiers, victims of crimes and abuse, nursing homes, hospitals, shelters and to anyone who requests handcrafted items who are in need. If you have a talent for handcrafting items, we’d love to have you join the Safe Harbor volunteer family!
Quilting
Through Safe Harbor’s “Love Project,” we have given away quilts to over 300 families all around the United States. At Safe Harbor, we love to serve families and special individuals through our quilt giveaways each month. If you’d like to participate in providing handcrafted quilts, contact us with the info provided below!
Trainers
Volunteers will help organize and coordinate the trainings against domestic violence that SHIM provides for first responders in several Georgia counties.
Prayer-line Workers
We are always looking for volunteers to join our prayer team to learn how to pray for people all around the world who are going through difficult situations. Sign up today and help us pray for others in need.
Writing
At Safe Harbor, we are always looking for talented writers to help build a stream of informational, fun, and original content for our website and our monthly newsletter. Ideal contributors are creative, adaptable, and have an ability to practice analytical research and writing. If you are creative, and have an ability for the written word, Safe Harbor may have a spot for you.
